That’s the promise of the 2012 REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend, Saturday and Sunday April 28-29, in which REALTORS® and real estate associations across the country will hold thousands of open houses in their local communities.
Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty agents will hold numerous open houses throught the Metro Atlanta area in conjunction with hundreds of agents citywide. With housing affordability at record highs, real estate professionals are hoping this year’s event will be a big jump-start to the spring market, in which we are already seeing record sales numbers.
Nearly half of home buyers visit open houses during their home search, according to the 2011 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers survey conducted by the National Association of REALTORS®. Open houses give buyers a stress-free way to visit homes for sale in different neighborhoods where they might want to live. For sellers, the weekend provides a high-visibility effort to promote traffic and drive home sales.
