With views of the New York skyline, nearly 175 Sotheby’s International Realty® affiliates from 75 companies across nine countries joined together at the brand’s 4th Annual Leadership Forum in Jersey City, N.J., to share best practices and insights on managing through a difficult economy.
Jenny Pruitt, CEO/Founder, and David Boehmig, President/Founder, both of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, attended the meeting. “It was invigorating to be in the same room with real estate leaders from around the world,” said Pruitt. “We are part of an incredible brand that offers our clients and sales associates the best in marketing luxury homes,” she said.
The event, held Nov. 17 to 19, focused on profitability and planning, and provided a forum for attendees to share their strategies for improving earnings through expense reductions and revenue growth. Attendees heard a brand update from Mike Good, president and chief executive officer, exciting news on the brand’s marketing efforts from Wendy Purvey, senior vice president, marketing, and a real estate overview from Richard Smith, president and chief executive officer, Realogy Corporation.
Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from experts on a variety of topics including financial modeling and projections, mergers and acquisitions, increasing productivity through accountability and coaching and financial management through a careful analysis of a profit and loss statement.
Panels also were conducted on broker best practices, growing through mergers and acquisitions and roll-ins, and a business planning and idea-sharing forum that enabled affiliates to discuss their ideas on several topics including what makes a productive associate, pricing strategies and vendor relations.
