High Arts Day is November 16, 2009 when three homes will be toured by the High Museum group. The day begins with a Coffee and Chocolate Breakfast sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue in their Buckhead store and then the group boards buses to tour the three selected homes and we end at the High Museum around noon for lunch and Silent Auction plus a tour of the exhibit Leonard da Vinci: Hand of Genius – Inspiration and Invention.
The tickets for the day of art and fun are $150.00 each and all proceeds go to the High Museum. We are expecting around 300 ladies and gentlemen to attend. Many of the Silent Auction items are handmade by artisans in and around the Atlanta area. The table decorations are always unique hand made items by local artists and are for purchase that day.
We have two Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty agents’ listings that are in the running for the tour for this year. Debra Johnston’s mid-century modern home located at 2730 Ridgewood Road (www.dajmodern.com) in Buckhead and Tamara Bickley’s home located at 3766 Wieuca Road which boasts a wonderful art collection by Damien Hurst.
The photography for the High Arts Day will be done by Shelley Martin of Shelly Martin Photography and you can visit her website at http://www.dnoir.org/. This is just an example of how Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty shows its support for the Arts in Atlanta.
