Country music legend Kenny Rogers sold his 5 acre estate lot on Long Island Drive. The property was listed with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty Realtor’s Heather Steiner and Tom Hicks.
Mr. Rogers’ had purchased the property several years ago to build a custom residence for him and his family. Prior to getting the project under way another opportunity came up and his plans changed.
The property is spectacular, very unique and allows for the construction of an estate residence with virtually unlimited size and amenities in an incredible location. The new owner currently lives in the Atlanta area and plans to build a custom estate on the property which should be a very fine addition to the neighborhood.
After marketing the property very aggressively and negotiating multiple offers from multiple buyers, the property closed at a price over $2,000,000 on August 5, 2009.
Including this latest sale and according to FMLS, there have been four residential lot sales over the $2,000,000 level in the Buckhead and Sandy Springs areas since May 2007.
Heather also sold another one of the four, having sold 50% of the estate lots in this category.
