Doranne was born and raised in New York City. After completing her BA in Psychology and Education at Hunter College, she taught elementary school. After meeting and marrying her husband Jack, she continued to teach until her oldest daughter Jennifer was born (1974). Shortly after moving to Atlanta in 1982, their youngest daughter Tracy was born. In addition to her primary role as homemaker, Doranne enjoyed being active in the PTA, Girl Scouts and her hobby as an artist/sculptor. She was also a valued advisor to her husband and put her mark on most of the home designs that were built. In addition, she became Coordinator of Interior Design and Customer Selection’s for Jack’s company.
Having raised her family, Doranne decided to embark on a new career as a REALTOR®. A year later, she persuaded her husband Jack to join her. They have been working together ever since. Together they have achieved over $200 Million in closed transactions and held the #1 Cobb Agent title for eight years at their former firm. Most importantly, the have attained a steady stream of repeat clients and past client referrals from those they’ve helped over the years.
Doranne’s most enjoyable part of being a REALTOR® is when her clients’ eyes light up and their smiles broaden when she introduces them to that perfect next home.
When not “living” her real estate life, Doranne enjoys fine dining, travel, reading and spending time with friends and family, especially her three grandsons.
Jack’s extensive real estate knowledge and experience have been gained from over 35 years in the business. His background and education combine skills in accounting, finance and management. After receiving his BS in Accounting from Seton Hall University (NJ), Jack went on to earn his MBA from Columbia University (NY). While attending Columbia, he met and married his wife Doranne. After working for a national public accounting firm and earning his CPA, he joined the staff of a regional home builder and worked his way from Controller to Executive Vice President. Eight years later, enticed by a group of investors, the couple moved to Atlanta (1981) and started a new company developing and building single and multi-family homes. The company received numerous home design and marketing awards and Jack was recognized as “Builder of the Year” on more than one occasion. In 1996, Doranne decided to pursue a real estate career. After taking early retirement, Jack happily joined her. The have been enjoying their thriving real estate sales careers ever since.
Jack and Doranne share client responsibilities pretty equally. While Doranne enjoys the home search process more, Jack loves to negotiate and close the deal!
When not “living real estate,” Jack enjoys fine dining, travel and spending time with three grandsons.
