In a new blog category called “Significant Sales”, we are going to celebrate the important transactions in Atlanta residential real estate. Homes featured in this section will be single family homes sold for more than $3 million or condo/loft/townhomes that have sold over $1 million. These sales will cover the entire Atlanta market, including those sold by agents who are not with our company.
In an effort to “catch up”, we are listing the single-family homes in Atlanta that have sold for more than $3 million since the first of the year. Homes are listed below in descending order by sales price.
This is the most expensive recorded sale in the history of Atlanta residential real estate (as per First Multiple Listing Service). This grand European estate is located at 3650 Tuxedo Road in Atlanta’s upscale area of Buckhead. The home was listed at $16,900,000. Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty real estate agent Betsy Akers of the Vawter Group represented the buyer in this transaction.
70 Valley Road in Buckhead was sold in June of 2009 with an original list price of $7,000,000. The agent representing the buyer was Comer Jennings of Harry Norman, REALTORS.
3435 Woodhaven Road in Tuxedo Park was sold in June 2009 with an original list price of $5,900,000. The listing agent and selling in this transaction was Carol Young of Harry Norman, REALTORS.
200 Londonberry was sold in May 2009 with an original list price of $4,500,000. The listing agent was Ursula Henry of Harry Norman, REALTORS. The agent representing the buyer was Carter Bell of Carter Bell Properties.
320 West Paces Ferry in Buckhead, in Buckhead (also known as the Southern Center for International Studies) was sold in June 2009 with an original list price of $5,495,000. The listing agent was Wendy Zoller of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty and selling in this transaction was John Woodham of Woodham and Associates.
3474 Nancy Creek Road in Buckhead was sold in March 2009 with an original list price of $4,995,000. The listing agent was Patti Junger of Coldwell Banker and the agents representing the buyers were the Heery Brothers of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
4870 Northside Drive was sold in July 2009 with an original list price of $4,750,000. The listing agents were Charles Gerrick and Debbie Pille of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. The agent representing the buyer was Shiwana Reed of Allure Realty Group.
4380 Harris Trail was sold in June 2009 with an original list price of $4,4450,000. The agent representing the buyer was Toni Itkin of Coldwell Banker.
4781 Northside Drive was sold in January 2009 with an original list price of $3,695,000. The listing agent was David Hutchins of ReMax Greater Atlanta. The agent representing the buyer was Diana Schilling of Harry Norman, REALTORS.
4440 Northside Drive was sold in September 2009 with an original list price of $4,000,000. The listing agent was Marcia Weinhoff of Harry Norman, REALTORS. The agent representing the buyer was Jan Brownfield of Coldwell Banker.
174 Peachtree Battle Avenue was sold in April 2009 with an original list price of $3,795,000. The listing agent was Clay Willcoxon of Coldwell Banker.
