Today Atlanta developer Ben Carter told the AJC he is being pushed aside on the Streets of Buckhead so the San Diego firm Oliver McMillan can take over and complete the stalled project that was supposed to be completed in 2009. The financing for this project has been an ongoing topic of conversation and one many believed would never end. According to the attached AJC article, his investors opted to bring in new blood to see the project through. While I was hoping for a “Central Park” style design concept, I am thrilled about the prospect of the cranes moving again and the Streets of Buckhead finally opening. Here is the full AJC article.
