Rome Sotheby’s International Realty recently sold the Castello di Guarene, one of the most importat Baroque castles in Piedmont, Italy, for €7,700,000 ($11,162,000 USD).
Count Carlo Giacinto Roero designed and built the castle in 1726. In 1740, he also designed its beautiful Italianate gardens. The interior features many elegant wall and ceiling frescoes painted by famous painters including Francesco Consoli, Giacomo Rappa, Bernardo Galliori and Giuseppe Palladino.
