Sylvia Mallarino Bras has almost three decades of professional and international experience. With leadership positions held in the finance, airline and real estate industries, her vast network and knowledge base offers her clients an unparalleled customer service experience.
As a REALTOR, Sylvia has a very accomplished record. She reached top agent status numerous times at both of her former companies and is a Life Member of the Multi Million Dollar Sales Club. In 2001, Sylvia began her REALTOR® career with Harry Norman Realtors and achieved top agent status at the Intown office where she was until 2009. She then joined Keller Williams Buckhead for two years, where she was also a top agent and on the Associate Leadership Council.
Sylvia is fluent in Spanish and received her bachelors and masters degrees in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She was born in Colombia, South America, and raised in New York, Florida, and Texas. At the age of 23, Sylvia began her financial career at Merrill Lynch where she was an Account Executive, trading retail stocks, bonds, and options. After securing her MBA in 1986, Sylvia began her international executive career at American Airlines where she rose to the position of Director of International Planning and played a major role in expanding America Airlines’ network into Latin America. In 1995, Sylvia moved to Atlanta to expand and turn-around Delta Air Lines’ international network. Her work at Delta Air Lines included expanding service into Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America, as well as eliminating the Frankfurt and Portland hubs. Sylvia has travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
Sylvia’s husband, Dr. Bert Bras, is a faculty member of the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and is a native of The Netherlands. Her son, Jackson Harris, is an avid tennis and basketball player and attends high school at The Paideia School. Sylvia is a long-time board member of the Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club, co-Chair of The Paideia School’s Latino Parent Group, and member of The Paideia School’s Green Team, as well as a member of Sacred Heart Church. Sylvia’s hobbies include reading, travel, skiing, and gardening.
