Stage: The beloved Rankin-Bass cartoon “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” comes to life in this puppet-tastic version from Jon Ludwig at the Center for Puppetry Arts. The show continues through Dec. 31.
Stage: CYT Atlanta presents “Cinderella,” Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical take on the classic fairy tale. Performances continues through Nov. 13 at Milton Center Theater.

Music: “War and Eternal Peace: A Veterans Day Concert” features Lauda Musicam of Atlanta performing battaglias, or war tunes, and music of peace as a remembrance to all involved in conflict. At 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at Atlanta’s St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.
Kids: An Atlanta holiday tradition continues atop the Lenox Road parking deck at Macy’s Lenox Square through Jan. 1, where you can hitch a ride with Priscilla the Pink Pig.
History, visual arts: “Carter’s Quest for Tut,” a fundraiser for the Arts Alliance of Georgia, Inc., has many original Egyptian artifacts, dioramas showing life in days of King Tut, a gift gallery with Egyptian-themed art and souvenirs and more. It continues through Nov. 18 at the Dancentre South facility in Woodstock.
Stage: “Motherhood, the Musical” takes a tuneful and loving look at the blessings and perils of being a mom. The show continues through Nov. 20 at the 14th Street Playhouse.
History: “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing: How the Apollo Theater Shaped American Entertainment” is a multimedia exhibition that spotlights the New York City landmark’s powerful impact on the entertainment business. It continues through March 4 at the Atlanta History Center.
Visual art: The High Museum of Art explores some of the highlights of the art of the 20th century with “Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters.” the show opens Oct. 15 and runs through April 29. See our review of the show.

Pets, families: Atlanta Pet Expo is a day of pet-centric vendors, activities and entertainment and includes an appearance by Shorty Rossi, star of “Pit Boss” on Animal Planet. The event starts at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at the North Atlanta Trade Center in Norcross.
Holiday, families: At Stone Mountain Christmas, Crossroads at the base of Stone Mountain is decked out with more than 2 million lights. The park also offers many more Christmas-themed activities and entertainment options. The season begins Nov. 12 and continues through Jan. 1 at Stone Mountain Park.
Stage, music: The Atlanta Opera opens its season with “Lucia di Lammermoor,” Donizetti’s chilling tragedy about an arranged marriage that leads to murder and madness. Performances are at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 18, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15, and 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
Music: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster David Coucheron and Principal Cellist Christopher Rex are the soloists for Brahms’s Double Concerto. Also on the program, Britten’s “The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.” Performances are at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 3 p.m. Nov. 13 at Atlanta Symphony Hall.
Music: The Georgia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will perform Symphony No. 4 (“Heroes”) by Philip Glass and Dvorak’s Te Deum at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 3 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Murray Arts Center in Kennesaw.
Festival, holiday: Dunwoody United Methodist Church will celebrate the season and raise money for Habitat for Humanity at the 20th Annual Holiday Festival, which begins at 9 p.m. Nov. 12. Shop for holiday gifts from 132 artisans, have your photo taken with Santa, take a pony ride or check out all of the other activities available.
Festival, art: Cherokee Heights Arts Festival showcase the work of the Marietta neighborhood’s resident artists beginning at 9 a.m. Nov. 12 on Etowah Drive.
Festival, literary arts: The Johns Creek Poetry Festival includes a workshop by acclaimed poet and educator Thomas Lux. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library in Johns Creek.
Stage: Conceived and directed by Rosemary Newcott, “The Real Tweenagers of Atlanta” is a new musical created from interviews with ‘tweens in our community. It runs Oct. 29 through Nov. 13 at the Alliance Theatre.
SUNDAY
Stage: The Imperial Acrobats of China’s Chi of Shaolin tells the story of a thief left for dead and found by Shaolin monks. The show uses acrobatics, a fusion of traditional and modern dance choreography and the martial arts skills of the Shaolin monks to relate the story. At 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts
Music: It can’t match the real thing, but Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience boasts good genes. Bonham is the son of Zeppelin’s late and legendary drummer, John Bonham. This tribute to one of rock’s greatest bands begins at 8 p.m. Nov. 13 at Center Stage.
