MILTON, Ga. (WXIA) – While it’s often referred to as ‘Beverly Hills of the South,’ it’s easy to find luxurious homes outside of Buckhead.
Rhonda Haran of Sotheby’s Atlanta Fine Homes is our tour guide of a $3.9 million, 10,000 square foot estate in North Fulton.
“One of the things I love about this home is that it’s very grand and luxurious but very livable,” Haran said.
It’s also smart. The home has a so-called brain.
“This little panel here is very user friendly but controls just about everything in the home,” she said. “Audio, sound, lights…”
There’s anything you could ever want in the gourmet kitchen, including a commercial grade Thermador range and a warming drawer – all in custom cabinetry.
Connected to the kitchen is a cozy great room.
“It’s not one of those places where you feel that you can’t sit on the furniture,” Haran said.
Also on the main level is the master bedroom and bath. As you walk in, your eyes are directed to the elaborate custom ceiling.
“It is a triple trey,” Haran said.
The TV is hidden behind art in the master and the other four bedrooms — and if they’re not big enough for your viewing needs, head downstairs to the terrace level.
“Forget about getting in your car and driving across town to the movie theatre,” said Haran. “You never have to leave, everything is here.”
Everything — including a wine cellar, tasting room, another terrace level kitchen, more rooms for fun and games, a spa and a gym. The playground continues outdoors.
“You have three acres, all to yourself,” she said.
A golf cart comes in handy when navigating the three acre property, which is in the gated Manor Golf and Country Club.
“Just down the street is the country club, where you can go and have lunch or dinner,” she said.
And how many homes can boast their own baseball diamond, or batting cage – or putting green?
“So now we’re moving from the athletic part of the outdoor living to the more tranquil setting,” Haran said.
That’s where you find the Koi pond, an outdoor kitchen for entertaining, a pizza oven, a pool, four outdoor fireplaces and a corner for some romance and relaxation.
“As you can see it’s tucked away, private, just off the master you have your very own outdoor jacuzzi tub,” she said. “No expense was spared here, especially in the outdoor living space.”
Next week, we’ll take you 31 stories up and tour of a luxury condo with 360 degree panoramic views of Atlanta.
