Windward is a mixed-use development in suburban Alpharetta that consists of residential neighborhoods, a commercial business center, and a 195-acre private lake.

Windward’s central business district includes different hotels, the largest hotel being the Marriott. Several big named companies have established their worldwide headquarters within Windward’s business area. While the business area is both large and successful, one can truly feel at home within the expanse of the residential areas.
The residential neighborhood is comprised of homes priced from $300,000 to multi millions. Within Windward are several gated communities. The gated communities are: The Enclave, Ardsley Park, Bay Pointe, Greatwood Glen, North Shore, and The Peninsula. The Peninsula is Windward’s most exclusive community. There are also two cluster communities; The Spinnakers, which is located close to the swim and tennis facility and is centered on the water, and Greatwood Glen that is located off of Windward Parkway.
Award-winning schools including Alpharetta High School, Webb Bridge Middle School, Creek View Elementary, and Windward Elementary support the residences within Windward. There are also numerous private schools in the metro Atlanta area. The location is convenient to many different restaurants in and around the Windward community. There is just about every type and nationality of world-class cuisine. Being centrally located makes shopping a breeze. Grocery stores are nearby, North Point Mall and The Avenues are just a few minutes away and there are quite a few boutique shops within the Windward business area.
Windward is a community providing its homeowners and visitors plenty of amenities and recreational spaces. The residential community prizes itself with a wonderful playground with an enormous covered sandbox, swing sets, jungle gyms, etc. There is a basketball area and softball field. Located directly off of Windward Parkway there is a soccer field. The community also has common areas, neighborhood docks, marina, boat launch, and large swim and tennis facility. The Alpharetta Greenway that starts in Roswell connects through Windward to Cumming. It’s a great place to enjoy a walk, ride bikes, roller blade etc. Windward is home to the Golf Club of Georgia. This exclusive golf club has two beautiful Arthur Hill designed courses, Lakeside and Creekside. Each is distinctly different from the other, offering the golfer enormous architectural, aesthetic and strategic variety.
