Music: In “Live Music Matters: A Tribute to Eddie Owen Presents,”more than 50 artists pay tribute to local music scene eminence Eddie Owen and his new series at Duluth’s Red Clay Theatre. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. June 22; 5 and 9 p.m. June 23; 3 and 7 p.m. June 24; 7:30 p.m. June 26.
Music: The hugely successful country trio Lady Antebellum, which includes Augusta boys Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, brings a set packed with hits to the Gwinnett Arena at 7 p.m. June 22.
Exhibition, history: “Bat Mitzvah Comes of Age” is an exhibition at the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody that explores 90 years of the coming-of-age ritual for Jewish girls.
Music: Theatrical music comes to Chastain Park Amphitheatre with “Music of the Night: The Best of London’s West End Musical Theater.” The show begins at 8 p.m. June 22.
Music: Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” (“The Magic Flute”) is presented by participants in the 2012 Harrower Summer Opera Workshop at Georgia State University at 8 p.m. June 22 and 3 p.m. June 23 in the Kopleff Recital Hall.
Stage: Love overcomes all obstacles in the Bard’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” which is being performed by Georgia Shakespeare at Oglethorpe University through Aug. 4.
Stage: Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents “Gypsy,” the tuneful tale of stage mother Rose and her ambitious plans for her singing and dancing daughters June and Louise. It runs through July 1 at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta.
Stage: “Summer Harvest 2012″ is a collection of 10-minute plays by local playwrights presented by Onion Man Productions. It runs through June 24 at Lionheart Theatre in Norcross.
Stage: From the mind of Center for Puppetry Arts artistic director Jon Ludwig comes “The Little Pirate Mermaid,” a seafaring adventure based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale with a swashbuckling musical twist. It continues through July 15.
Stage: “Illyria: A Twelfth Night Musical” is a tuneful take on the Bard’s cross-dressing comedy of errors. It’s presented by Georgia Shakespeare at Oglethorpe University through Aug. 5.
Stage: “Traffik” is a theatre piece by Jacquay Waller exploring the underworld of human trafficking in our society. See it at 14th Street Playhouse through June 24.
Stage: Horizon Theatre Company stages the world premiere of “The Waffle Palace: Smothered, Covered and Scattered 24/7/365,” a new play by by Larry Larson and Eddie Levi Lee. It runs through July 1. Take a look at our preview of the show.
Visual arts: “From Tree to Art” is a solo exhibition by North Carolina wood turner Joe Ruminski. It continues through June 29 at 2 Rules Fine Art in Marietta.
Stage: The Atlanta Shakespeare Company continues its chronological run through the Bard’s comedies with “As You Like It.” It runs through June 24 at the New American Shakespeare Tavern.
Stage: Serenbe Playhouse in Palmetto debuts a new adaptation of the beloved Lewis Carroll tale “Alice in Wonderland.” It continues through July 28. Check out our review of the production.
History, visual arts: “Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” is an updated version of an exhibit that had an earlier run at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. It features more than 200 artifacts recovered from the wreckage of the ill-fated ocean liner. See our preview of the show, which is on view at the Premier Exhibition Center at Atlantic Station.
Visual arts: In “Create, Destroy, Rebuild,” artists are asked to take a completed work (either old or new), destroy it in whatever fashion they wish, and then re-assemble the remains to create a new piece of art. It continues through June 30 at Beep Beep Gallery.
SATURDAY
Food, festival: We all scream for ice cream, especially when it’s made by some of Atlanta’s best chefs. Attendees at the sixth annual Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social will get to vote for their favorite flavors. It happens 12:30-2 p.m. June 23 at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market at the Cathedral of St. Philip.
Beer, festival: Sample more then 150 brews at the Atlanta Summer Beer Festival while enjoying live music, comedy and more. It starts at 4 p.m. June 23 at Masquerade Music Park.
Festival: Hard Rock Cafe Rock ’N Ride is a fundraiser for the Grady Health Foundation. It begins with a ride from Marietta’s Killer Creek Harley-Davidson that ends in downtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street, where there will be a free music festival with Drivin N Cryin, the Whiskey Gentry and more. Ride begins at 2 p.m.; fest downtown begins at 3 p.m. June 23.
Film: Check out what two days of film-making can accomplish at 48 Hour Film Project: The Screenings. Screenings happen at 7 and 9:15 p.m. June 23 and 4:45 p.m., 7 and 9:15 p.m. June 24 at the Plaza Theatre.
Festival: The inaugural Buckhead Chili Pepper Festival will be held at Eclipse di Luna in Buckhead in the outdoor parking lot and inside the restaurant 4-11 p.m. June 23. The festival will feature three live bands, a DJ, a roaming Mariachi band, sketch artists and a hot chili pepper and a fiery taco eating contest.

Music: Singer-songwriter Griffin House is the headliner for this week’s edition of Unplugged in the Park at the Park Tavern. Tim McNary and Julie Gribble open the show, which begins at 7 p.m. June 24.
