New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady has sold his palatial Back Bay penthouse duplex to his downstairs neighbor for $9.2 million. It is assessed at $5.687 million.

The 5,311-square-foot residence at 310 Beacon St. boasts a 1,451-square-foot roof deck with a copper-clad solarium with two skylights and an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill.

It also has six fireplaces, three-plus bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and parking galore – four garage spaces and one outdoor spot.

His neighbor is an international businessman and local philanthropist; the ownership of the property is listed as the Avery Bicentennial Corp., which had the right of first refusal should the penthouse come on the market. The ownership of the penthouse is listed as 310 Beacon Street Nominee Trust.

The sale was recorded June 22. Allison Mazer of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty was both the listing broker and selling broker.

When Brady bought the magnificent 19th century white stone bowfront mansion in May 2006, he developed it into four condominiums; Avery Bicentennial purchased three of them.

Brady initially had listed the penthouse at $10.9 million about 20 months ago but took it off the market three months after his and supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s son, Benjamin, was born.

Last October, Mazer listed the home at $10.5 million.

The main rooms of the penthouse are on the top floor. A grand living room with gas fireplaces at either end is at the front of the building, and next to it is an entertainment media room with all of the top-of-the-line audio-visual equipment imaginable.
