Chip Russell joins Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty specializing in golf properties. Chip’s background is lined with a strong professional athletic history as well as a masterful sense of business management.
Chip has always had a love for sports playing soccer, football, basketball, and baseball through high school. He chose basketball as his sport of choice and played in college. After leaving Christopher Newport University he began his career as a professional golfer and went through the program created by The PGA of America In 1998 he began his involvement with Tiger Woods and the Tiger Woods Foundation and continued that until 2005. He was involved in event planning, execution, coordination, and instruction in The Foundation’s events across the United States and Internationally.
He founded his own junior academy in Atlanta and his works were profiled in news publications and other mediums across the state. He worked on the 2005 US Women’s Golf Open in Atlanta, by serving on the board and executing the junior clinics and exhibitions for that event. He was on hand every year for the annual Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA where he assisted with corporate hospitality.
In late 2006 Chip decided to pursue soccer. He worked with the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner during the 2006 MLS Cup in Dallas, TX with some of the special events that Major League Soccer had during the week. He also became The Director of Operations for the Atlanta Silverbacks and also served as The Manager of Business Development for AC Milan in North and South America.
