Atlanta Braves second baseman, Dan Uggla has a new home in Sandy Springs thanks to Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty agents Wes Vawter and Chase Mizell. Uggla received a home-run deal on the home he purchased for $1.6 million dollars, which was once listed for $3.3 million.
The 14,000 square foot home at 5350 Riverview Road belonged to former NBA basketball player Derek Anderson. Anderson, who also won an NCAA National Championship with the University of Kentucky in 1996, purchased the home in 2005.
Built in 2002, and situated on two acres, the 14,000 square foot European-style home has seven bedrooms, a fitness room and theatre room. Uggla will have no problem staying active in the offseason, as his new home also features a heated pool, putting green and basetball court.
Thirty-two year-old Uggla has been with the Atlanta Braves since 2011, and is the 23rd player in Major League Baseball history to have a hitting streak of at least 33 games. Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky he began his professional career in 2001 after being drafed in the 11th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Wes Vawter, of the Vawter Group represented the seller while Chase Mizell was Uggla’s agent. Ready to purchase your own Major League home in Atlanta? Begin your search at www.atlantafinehomes.com
