Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles teamed up with the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and iStar Residential (owners of The Residences) to offer one interior designer an exclusive chance to design a brand new three-bedroom model home at The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta, where Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty handles onsite sales. After a jury reviewed storyboards submitted by the designers, it has been narrowed down to the three finalists.
The winning designer/design partnership will receive a paid contract with iStar Residential to design the three-bedroom model home in preparation for a public reveal at The Residences in mid-September. Harris Design Associates is the architect of the new model home and has created award-winning high-end custom residences, town homes and specialty commercial projects that are inspired by the best of classical and modern architecture.
THE FINALISTS
Robert Grayson & Andrew Harris – ASID, Principals of Grayson Harrison Interiors + Design, LLC
Robert Grayson and Andrew Harris have a combined 25 years of both high-end commercial and residential design experience from small, residential models, high-end law firms, to exclusive country clubs, executive homes and vacation retreats. They are both professional members of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Registered Interior Designers with the State of Georgia and certificate holders for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Both Grayson and Harris have won a variety of awards through the Georgia Chapter of ASID over the past 13 years.
Dawn Trimble – ASID, LEED AP, Principal of Dawn Trimble Studio
Dawn Trimble has eight years of experience in interior design and an extensive background in architecture. She began her design firm, Dawn Trimble Studio, in 2008 and has since then worked on a handful of interior designer and architectural projects from Washington, D.C. to Atlanta, Ga. She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), certificate holder for the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and a LEED Accredited Professional. Trimble has a won a variety of awards for her interior design concepts.
Jo Rabaut – ASID, IIDA, Owner of Rabaut Design Associates Inc.
Jo Rabaut has 35 years of experience in interior design and launched her design firm, Rabaut Design Associates in 1989. She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), member of the Georgia Alliance for Interior Design Professionals (GAIDP) and a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Rabaut has won a variety of design awards over the years from ASID and her current project locations include Atlanta, South Carolina and Colorado.
