Mini-Vinings

Located just west of Buckhead and east of Smyrna is a popular community called Vinings. Because it is located in unincorporated Cobb County, the taxes are lower than they are in nearby Fulton County, but most residents there still have an Atlanta address. That is just one reason why people are moving to the area. Here are five more:

Mini-Vinings

1. Location, location, location

If you love life in the city but the suburbs appeal to you, too, Vinings is the perfect place to call home. It is literally the place where the two come together. To the west you will find some of the South’s most popular cultural attractions, busy interstates and skyscrapers. To the east you will find beautiful parks, convenient big box stores and swim and tennis communities.

2. Things to do

No matter what you like to do with your spare time, you will find it nearby in Vinings. The new Atlanta Braves stadium is being constructed just north of the community and will open in 2017. Cumberland Mall, which is also just north of Vinings, is home to over 150 store and restaurants and is currently undergoing renovation. Stay in town to shop and dine at Vinings Jubilee or head a few minutes east to Buckhead to shop at designer boutiques like Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Kate Spade at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. Fox Creek and North Fulton are just two of the many golf courses near Vinings.

3. Beautiful homes

Vinings is home to some upscale historic homes, as well as plenty of new construction to match all tastes. The gated Avignon at Vinings promotes itself as a romantic European-style village, while homes in Cochise sit along the Chattahoochee River. The Battery on Paces Ferry is full of elegant townhomes and is within walking distance of several shops and restaurants, while the established homes of Bakers Farm sit on tree-lined streets with immaculate landscaping.

4. Family-friendly atmosphere

The community is a wonderful place to raise children. Several of Buckhead’s most prestigious private schools are just minutes away. Many of Cobb County’s public schools have received high state and national rankings from U.S. News and World Report, including Campbell High School where many Vinings students attend. Annual events like the Christmas tree lighting at Vinings Jubilee and Taste of Smyrna are fun for all ages.

5. Proximity to jobs

If you hate spending hours on the interstate commuting to and from work each day, you may like what Vinings has to offer. Several businesses, including Home Depot, have headquarters in the surrounding areas. Interstate 285, Atlanta’s “Perimeter,” forms the western boundary of Vinings, making it easy for you to be practically anywhere in the city in mere minutes.
