Over the last few years, there has been much talk about the Old Fourth Ward, especially among Atlanta home buyers. After all, between the 1980s and 2000s, the neighborhood underwent a period of gentrification that made it a desirable place to live. Old homes were being renovated, while new condo buildings were being built, and newcomers were turning down old favorites like Buckhead and Decatur in favor of living here.

Piedmont Avenue forms most of the neighborhood’s western border, Ponce de Leon Avenue forms the northern border, the BeltLine Trail forms the eastern border and Freedom Parkway and Decatur Street form the southern border.
