Martha McIntyre Hasty, an Atlanta native, grew up in Buckhead and attended The Lovett School before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and Southern Methodist University. Upon graduation, she moved to New York and began a career with Bankers Trust Company, where she worked with Fortune 500 companies covering the retail and textile industries. Her analytical and negotiating skills ultimately led to a career as a nationwide retail buyer with Saks Fifth Avenue. Martha and her family returned to Atlanta and lived in Historic Brookhaven, near Phipps Plaza. Having grown up shopping at Phipps, she was excited to continue her career as assistant general manager at the then-new anchor department store, Parisian, and later, at Saks Fifth Avenue.
As she focused on raising her children, Martha transitioned to a career in commercial and residential renovations and decorating. She worked on numerous projects, including The Piedmont Driving Club, commercial staging with Frontgate, Bassett Furniture, Bloomingdale’s, ADAC, the renovation and decorating of a home on Peachtree Battle and the Reinhardt Tour of Homes. Martha most recently completed the redesign, renovation and decorating of the president’s home at Reinhardt University.
Martha’s experiences have allowed her to develop an appreciation of the needs and objectives of her clients, whether it is down the street, across town or in the next county. Her real estate focus includes Buckhead and extends throughout North Fulton, Cherokee, and Forsyth Counties.
Martha and her husband, Billy Hasty, live in Cherokee County’s Hawks Ridge Golf Club. Billy, an attorney with Hasty Pope LLC, has been the attorney for the Cherokee County Development Authority for 20 years. He continues to be both personally and professionally involved in relocating new commercial, manufacturing and retail businesses to the booming areas of Cherokee, Forsyth and North Fulton Counties. As Chairman of the Cherokee County Hospital Authority and a member of the Board of Directors of Northside Hospital, Billy is greatly involved in bringing the new regional Northside Hospital to Cherokee County. Martha is excited to welcome and extend her help in the relocation of professionals associated with the new hospital.
Martha enjoys serving the Metro Atlanta community. She has been active with the Atlanta Symphony, Atlanta Botanical Garden and The High Museum. Currently, she is involved with her husband in the Cherokee County Board of Education, various events and fundraisers for Reinhardt University, the Falany Performing Arts Center and events and promotions with the Northside Hospital-Cherokee. In addition, Martha and Billy have hosted many fundraisers for national and state local leaders. They are members of Piedmont Driving Club and Hawks Ridge Golf Club.
