Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alexis McKinney spent the first part of her life living all over the world because of her father’s travel consulting career. Her ability to connect and communicate with a wide range of clientele is guided by her passion for travel and her experiences living in various countries, states and cities. She is an honors graduate of The Florida State University College of Business where she earned a degree in finance. During her medical sales career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Rochester.
Alexis has more than 15 years of experience in medical device sales, where she was not only a multimillion-dollar sales award recipient, but procured contracts in major health systems nationwide. This experience translates to a keen ability to listen, advise and negotiate during the buying or selling process. Utilizing her finance background and her personal experience in real estate investing, she provides a comprehensive approach to find solutions for her clients whether they are first-time homeowners, investors or seasoned homeowners.
Service is important to her, as her siblings attended the Naval Academy and she married a Citadel graduate. Alexis serves her community by volunteering for local hospices, fundraising for Village Montessori and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
She had a successful career at Carolina One Real Estate in Charleston, South Carolina, assisting her clients in purchasing, selling and investing before beginning her real estate career at Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
Licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina, Alexis enjoys spending time with her husband, Danny, and their two children. Whether she is working out, traveling or experimenting with the culinary arts, Alexis lives by her mantra, “Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.”
