A rare native Atlantan, I grew up in the historic Intown neighborhood of Druid Hills. Throughout college at Emory University and in the 25 years since graduation, I have only lived in many of our amazing neighborhoods, including Virginia-Highland, Morningside and Candler Park. After getting married, I settled down with my wife and two young daughters back in Druid Hills, where it all began.
I developed an early appreciation for the opportunities afforded by real estate while helping my parents manage a few rental properties, and I watched those investments grow – ultimately paying for my college! In the years following graduation, I leveraged those experiences to accumulate a significant portfolio of Intown multi-family dwellings, which my brother and I actively managed.
We were able to extend our reach by leasing our properties to various corporations looking for a local presence in Atlanta during the Olympic Games in 1996. In the late 90s, realizing many of our duplexes were on great lots in sought-after Intown neighborhoods, we shifted from managing owned rental properties to a successful real estate development entity. From those early beginnings, I’ve built extensive expertise with all aspects of the new construction and renovation process, including the various approaches to financing.
While real estate has always been my true passion, I did manage a “day job” for 22 years as a senior marketing executive for The Coca-Cola Company here in Atlanta. During those years (particularly the last 10), I developed strong cross-cultural sensitivities while traveling the world and working with our local teams.
When I’m not working for you, I am volunteering at Fernbank Elementary School, coaching one of two girls’ soccer teams or staying true to my daily commitment of exercise for the body and mind.
