Karen Sherrill is a REALTOR® who brings more than 10 years of sales experience to her career. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in education, is bilingual and spent the first eight years of her career teaching K-12 Spanish.
“One of the things that drew me to this industry is my strong desire to serve,” she says. “I am passionate about helping people realize and achieve their dreams. In real estate, as in life, people need not only a cheerleader, but also the tools to make important decisions. I deliver both to my clients in a nice concise bow.”
Karen takes great pride in pulling from her educational background to provide her clients with knowledge on all facets of real estate – the things to look for and the things to look out for. Additionally, because she’s so service-driven, she becomes their advocate and friend in the process.
In addition to her education, Karen attributes her successful career to the experiences she endeavored growing up in New York City and later attending school in the mountains.
“I like change and am not afraid of a challenge,” she explains. “Once in college, I took every outdoor class I could – rock climbing, repelling, backpacking, kayaking – all of which forced me to go way outside my comfort zone, and I now apply those skills to my work in residential real estate.”
She loves Latin music, concerts, hiking and curling up with a good book, but nothing tops meeting a friend for a cup of coffee and catching up. She and her husband, Walter, raised two amazing children, David and Annie, and she is the proud Kiki (grandmother) of two-year-old Drew. She is currently a member of Perimeter Church, where she enjoys serving others through volunteer work, and she serves on the party committee for her HOA.
