Born and raised in Griffin, Georgia, Ginny majored in real estate at the University of Georgia—a program ranked #2 in the nation. Upon graduation, she pursued further education, obtaining a law degree from Georgia State University’s College of Law with a continued focus on real estate. Her tenure as an attorney at an Atlanta real estate law firm equipped her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of real estate transactions. A trusted advisor for clients facing nuanced legal concerns, she integrates a broad local network with a rich educational and professional foundation.
With a client-centric approach, Ginny’s real estate practice thrives on referrals and personal connections. She specializes in catering to luxury markets, active adults, second-home investors and sellers facing title issues, leveraging her legal background to navigate complexities with finesse. Ginny’s clients appreciate her non-salesy demeanor, high-touch service and skillful negotiation tactics that prioritize their needs and foster collaborative solutions. She works with clients throughout the North Metro Atlanta area, including but not limited to Cherokee, Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth and Fulton counties. Additionally, she loves serving her hometown clients on the southside of Atlanta in Spalding and Pike counties.
When she’s not assisting clients, Ginny’s focus is on her family. Her husband, Billy Shaughnessy, is one of Georgia’s top construction attorneys and provides an excellent resource to enrich her client’s services. Together, they live in Woodstock and proudly share three beautiful children: Will (7), Savannah (4) and West (2). The Shaughnessys are actively involved at Sandy Plains Baseball Association, enjoy volunteering at their children’s schools and love cheering on the Braves and Bulldogs.
