When many people think of Buckhead real estate, they think of the community’s historic bungalows, elegant mansions and established neighborhoods, but Buckhead is also home to dozens of high-rise and mid-rise condominium buildings. They are available at a variety of price levels, in numerous styles and with an assortment of amenities and features. However, no matter what you choose, each one is just minutes from unlimited work and entertainment opportunities. So, where can you find these amazing Buckhead condos?

Peachtree (South Buckhead) Area

Buckhead CondosPeachtree Street, or Peachtree Road as it is called when it reaches Buckhead, runs through the city of Atlanta and is considered something of a main street. It is the road where parades take place in the city, the road where some of Atlanta’s most historic buildings are located, and it is home to landmarks like the Fox Theatre, the house where Margaret Mitchell wrote Gone with the Wind, and the Woodruff Arts Center. Frank Sinatra and Elton John even wrote songs about it. As a matter of fact, John maintains a condo on Peachtree Road.

Condos on Peachtree in the southern part of Buckhead have access to great schools, great medical facilities, and wonderful restaurants. The award-winning Piedmont Hospital is in close distance. So are E. Rivers Elementary and Garden Hills Elementary Schools, both of which are International Baccalaureate schools. Atlanta Memorial Park is also within close distance of many of the condos in this area. The 199-acre park is home to the nationally recognized Bitsy Grant Tennis Center and the Bobby Jones Golf Course. Residents of South Buckhead also have the pleasure of having the shortest commute times if they choose to work in Midtown or Downtown.

Lenox Area

The area of Buckhead where Peachtree Road and Georgia 400 intersect is home to several condo buildings, businesses, restaurants and shopping opportunities. This area has a reputation for being one of the most exclusive and upscale places to shop in the entire United States. This is where Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza are located, and each one is home to brands like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany’s & Co., Burberry, Prada, Armani and more. You will find nationally-recognized restaurants here, as well, that serve everything from fillet mignon to down-home Southern cooking. Surrounding the shopping and restaurants are numerous businesses that are within close proximity of the area’s condos. Buckhead is actually considered Atlanta’s third-largest business district behind Downtown and Midtown.

Paces/Vinings Area

While most of Buckhead’s condos are right in the heart of the city, you can hop in the car and head west down West Paces Ferry to find a few more in the Paces/Vining area. Vinings is an unincorporated community that sits between Buckhead and the suburban favorite Cobb County, and Paces is one of Buckhead’s most upscale residential neighborhoods. The Paces area is home to some of the city’s most expensive homes, and it attracts some of Atlanta’s most notable residents.

This community is still close to Buckhead’s top shopping and dining destinations, as well as all of the cultural and entertainment opportunities scattered throughout Atlanta. However, there is still plenty to do right in your own backyard. The new Atlanta Braves stadium is currently under construction in this area, and Vinings is home to several popular shopping centers and restaurants like Cumberland Mall and Vinings Jubilee. There are several businesses here, as well. The Paces area is also home to some of Atlanta’s top private schools.
