Jenny Pruitt & David Boehmig Co-Author Chinese Guide to U.S. Real Estate Investing

Chinese Guide To Investing In Atlanta Real Estate

Just in time to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the “Year of the Rooster” on Jan. 28, we are pleased to announce that Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Jenny Pruitt and President David Boehmig have been featured as co-authors of an upcoming Chinese buyers’ guide for investing in U.S. real estate.

Entitled “Chinese Institutions’ Definitive Guide to USA Commercial Real Estate,” the book is written in the Chinese language, and is set to be released by one of Beijing’s top business publishers in early 2017. The book includes chapters highlighting markets and submarkets in each of America’s top gateway cities, written by local real estate CEOs and top brokers nationwide.

As a testament to her distinguished experience as CEO and Co-Founder of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, Jenny was asked to pen the chapter on Metro Atlanta — a region that has become one of China’s prime hotspots for U.S. real estate purchases in recent years. Jenny and David’s global network for buyers include strong connections with Chinese investors, who are buying an estimated $27 billion of U.S. real estate this year, according to the National Association of Realtors.

“Metro Atlanta has everything, with diverse neighborhoods, a growing economy, and ample investment opportunities,” Pruitt writes in the book. “Midtown provides an urban landscape with luxurious high-rise living and business infrastructure. Intown is home to great city neighborhoods like Virginia-Highland, Druid Hills or the quaint, artistic city of Decatur. Each community has its own identity, with local shops, restaurants and parks.”

Top U.S.-China legal experts also helped pen chapters on optimizing tax structures and negotiating joint venture partnerships. Other chapters in the book include:

  • Why Purchase U.S. Real Estate
  • Important International Tax Issues
  • Single-Family Investment
  • Closing the Deal
  • … and more!

The book writing effort was led by Ben Briggs, Executive Vice President of International Business for Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, who has lived in China for over 10 years.
