According to a Yahoo! Sports article Monday, the Peach State ranks fifth in the nation for producing football talent for the National Football League. Currently, there are 80 players from Georgia in the NFL.

- Texas — 181 players
- Florida — 177 players
- Ohio — 85 players
- Georgia — 80 players
- Louisiana — 68 players
- Pennsylvania — 56 players
- New Jersey — 55 players
- Michigan — 53 players
- Alabama — 50 players
