The Druid Hills Home and Garden Tour is one of the preeminent Atlanta tours. It provides a unique opportunity to see inside some of Druid Hills loveliest homes and become acquainted with it’s historic and eclectic nature – a wonderful way to get to know better this special neighborhood that was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture and creator of Central Park in New York.

Perhaps my fondest memory of the tour is strolling down the wide meandering boulevards under a breezy tree canopy enjoying Atlanta’s spring colors at their finest and being overwhelmed by the amazing architecture. Druid Hills is my favorite Atlanta neighborhood for early 1900’s Tudors, Georgians, English Revival and Classically inspired homes by the South’s renowned architects, such as Neel Reid, Philip Shutze, Lewis Crook and Walter Downing. Some people come for the tour and end up choosing to make Druid Hills their home; I did!
