Sotheby’s International Realty lists Jeffrey Katzenburg’s home for $20.5 Million

The 14,000-square-foot vacation home has hosted the likes of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise.

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has put his vacation home in Park City, Utah, up for sale. Asking price for the 14,000-square-foot log cabin getaway: $20.5 million.

The listing, posted to Sotheby’s International Realty’s website, is located at the end of a cul de sac on a two-acre lot inside the gated community of Bald Eagle Club.

Designed by architects Rick Otto and Charles Gwathmey, the palatial home includes in its asking price interior decorations and artwork by Naomi Leff, a decorator-to-the-stars who has worked with Katzenberg’s DreamWorks partners Steven Spielberg and David Geffen.

Amenities include a billiards room and separate game room, indoor pool and spa, and a ski room with direct access to the ski hill. Also included is a 75-inch 3D TV that Katzenberg, a 3D proponent, imported last year from Korea. At the time, it was one of two of the world’s largest flatscreen TVs in a U.S. home, Katzenberg told The Wall Street Journal last June. (The other was in his L.A. home.)

Katzenberg conceived of the getaway over two decades ago with his wife, Marilyn Katzenberg, at a cost of $10 million. In the ensuing years, it has hosted the likes of Bill Clinton, Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson and Cameron Diaz. Insiders say the couple no longer uses the home.

The animation mogul is currently overseeing the renovation of a $35 million home on a six-acre plot of Trousdale Estates — an exclusive area of Beverly Hills that offers sprawling views and limits dwellings to a single story — which is nearing completion.

He also owns a modern home, also designed by Gwathmey, on a 150-foot stretch of Carbon Beach, the most expensive part of Malibu.
