Stunning English Cotsworld-Style Abode, a Former Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Serenbe Showhouse (Previously Listed)

Follow a charming cobblestone path in the Swann Ridge section of Serenbe and discover 14 Swann Wynd, a stunning English Cotsworld-style home that was featured as The Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Serenbe Show House in 2014. With an expansive 4,000+/- square feet, the home is comprised of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, one half bathroom and au courant living spaces that have been appointed with designer finishes.

Each year, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles features a show house – a blank canvas for design, if you will – in Serenbe to support the Art Farm at Serenbe. 14 Swann Wynd was part of a collaboration of 12 local interior designers who contributed inspirational expertise to the space. The below outlines the custom and unique work of five designers who enhanced the already tranquil spaces and decorated them in sought-after appeal.

Designed by Janie Hirsch of J. Hirsch Interior Design, the chef’s kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets with a built-in refrigerator, gorgeous stone countertops and trio lanterns over the large island, which houses the elegant farmhouse sink and built-in wine rack. The kitchen also features a tongue and groove ceiling with recessed lighting and a wall of windows with French doors that lead to the patio.

“The kitchen represents a classic design that is the heart of the home, offering a place of comfort and ease for entertaining,” Hirsch says. “The modern features, mixed with eclectic details, provide a timeless and functional kitchen for everyone to enjoy.”

Nearby, a spacious dining room is partitioned by cased openings and features a sun-filled sitting area.

Lanah Jackson of Robert Brown Interior Design says, “This room introduces a new take … using contemporary artwork and eclectic furnishings to infuse this dignified home with a bit of youthful modernism.”

A unique floor-to-ceiling custom fireplace with wood paneling creates a natural partition between the dining room and the living room. The spacious, yet cozy, chamber features a regal cathedral ceiling, as well as a window seat.

“Drawing from the hues of the surrounding wooded views, a custom painting by Serenbe’s Thomas Swanston serves as the crown jewel of the living room, whose vast dimensions are divided by extra-comfortable groups of upholstered seating,” Melanie Milner of The Design Atelier explains.

“This warm, comfortable gathering room is the perfect spot to curl up and read a good book, watch your favorite movie and/or spend time with guests. Inspired by a relaxed palette of colors, the vibe of the room will calm your spirit and wrap your soul with a feeling of simple luxury.”

Fashioned by Hope Vanzant of HMS Designs, the remarkable rear deck with a unique cascading stone fireplace is just outside the kitchen and living room.

“This quaint space will have the perfect atmosphere for the serene backdrop of the Serenbe woods, and it will keep up the English Cotswold feel,” she says.

You will find your escape in the master suite that features rustic exposed beams and a spacious, spa-like bathroom. The master bathroom has a spotless freestanding soaking tub, double sinks with gorgeous marble countertops and a beautiful white tile shower. The gem of this suite is the private screened porch that has a comfortable stone and wood outdoor fireplace, a wood-paneled ceiling and nature views.

“The room encompasses a tailored collection of modern furnishings and antiques, serving as a weekend haven for city dwellers,” designer Yvonne McFadden says. “The crisp black and white palette creates a juxtaposition between the built environment and the natural landscape.”

Additional highlights include a cubby organization space off the kitchen and a laundry room on the main level. Upstairs are two secondary bedrooms, and the finished terrace level features a guest suite, as well as a media room, office and extra living space.

Relax by one of the outdoor fireplaces and relish the quiet, rural nature of Chattahoochee Hills, or explore the charming lantern bridge that lights the path to Serenbe shops and restaurants.
