In 2017, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC partnered with New Story, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing a better home life to those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. The anticipated relationship was introduced during the brand’s annual Global Networking Event, and since then, the international corporation of 22,000 sales associates and staff in 970 offices in 72 countries has continued to support New Story in various generous ways.

Teaming up with New Story as a charitable partner allowed us to extend the services we provide daily, to help people discover homes that allow them to live their best life.”
Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty sponsors a small community in Puebla, Mexico, and in just a year’s time, the brokerage has donated more than $100,000 to the relief and new beginnings of victims. During his most recent tour with New Story, Philip White had the pleasure of visiting our town and met the family (and proud owners) living in one of the homes our contributions helped build.

New Story:
We are all fortunate to have roofs over our heads and a place to call home, something that is such a fundamental necessity that it’s hard to imagine life any other way. Unfortunately, more than 1 billion people live in destitute poverty, raising families in tents in dangerous communities, living each day on survival mode. Through New Story, we have the power to make a difference by providing a safe place to call home.
With a goal of providing safety and consistency for these families, New Story launched as a three-person team in 2014. All donations go directly to building a new home, and New Story trains local workers and buys locally sourced construction materials – improving the economy and providing jobs.
