Brewing up some of the city’s favorite sips and suds, the Atlanta Summer Beer Fest is taking over Historic Fourth Ward Park on Saturday! Come thirsty – this festival will feature more than 200 brews, live music and more!
POP into the weekend! Alpharetta PopFest is a free outdoor music festival aimed at raising awareness and funding for the research of Alzheimer’s disease, featuring music from four talented artists. Come one, come all!
Lighting up the Atlanta skyline this Saturday, the fourth annual Sandy Springs Lantern Parade will start at Steel Canyon Golf Club and ends at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. Chantelle Rytter, the creator of the very successful Beltline, Grant Park and Decatur Lantern Parades, produces the unique “Take It to the River” Parade. Last year, Chantelle introduced new dragonfly and great blue heron “puppet” lanterns to interact with the audience. They will be back again, along with the swans, Lilly and Billy, Alice the 25-foot albino alligator, Big Mama Sandy the turtle and Jeremiah the bullfrog, accompanied by his lilies. New this year, meet Sanderson the Flying Pig. Participate in one of the flying pig workshops and march with the Swoop of Pigs leading the parade to Overlook Park. Once the parade reaches the river, paddlers from High Country Outfitters will escort select lanterns to the river for a floating parade. Don’t miss this riveting river light display!
